Lisa Bartels, MD
Dr. Lisa Bartels received her undergraduate degree from Connecticut College, New London, Connecticut, in 2004 and her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2009. Her family medicine residency was completed at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Joining Beebe Medical Group in 2013, Dr. Bartels is board certified in family medicine and practices in our Primary Care Building in Lewes.

A Peaceful Place Integrated Care is intended to be a safe place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning patients to be heard and cared for. We are passionate about providing quality and evidenced based care to ALL who seek our services. At A Peaceful Place we provide comprehensive primary care, including annual wellness exams, breast/chest health care, and routine cervical cancer screening (pap smears). When indicated, gender affirming hormones including pills, injectables, and patches are available after consultation and medical examination. A Peaceful Place Integrated Care is a practice which provides integrated primary care and addictions treatment for individuals with current, or in remission, substance and/or alcohol use disorders. The practice seeks to provide supportive and holistic services, through the provision of a continuum of primary medical care and medication assisted treatment (MAT), by way of in-person consultation or telehealth consultation, as well.

Emily Anderson, PA-C,
Emily Anderson (she/her) is a Physician Assistant at Progressive Health of Delaware, a Lifestyle Medicine practice in Wilmington, Delaware. She provides comprehensive primary care for adults (18+ years old), including annual wellness exams, breast/chest health care, routine cervical cancer screening (pap smears), and contraception management such as IUD insertions. Like her colleagues, Emily focuses on creating a safe space for persons of all sexual orientations and gender identities. Emily specializes in Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy for the transgender and gender diverse community, as well as PrEP therapy. She attended the Advancing Excellence in Transgender Health workshop through Fenway Health Center. Emily graduated with her Master's of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Arcadia University. She is originally from Wilmington, Delaware. Prior to graduate school, Emily attended the University of Delaware and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. Emily strives to always offer culturally sensitive and affirming support to the LBGTQIA+ community. Outside of work, Emily enjoys working out at Orangetheory Fitness, and taking trips to Stone Harbor.

John Hale, MD
Dr. John Eric Hale earned his BA in biology at the University of Delaware in 1983, and his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in 1988. He completed his residency training at Bryn Mawr Hospital Family Practice in 1991. Dr. Hale formerly practiced family medicine with Bayside Health from 1991-1995, joining Lewes Family Practice in 1995, which subsequently became a part of Beebe medical Group in 2015.

Jessica Hammond, FNP
A graduate of the Beebe School of Nursing, Jessica Hammond completed her Bachelor's in Nursing at Wilmington University in 2012. She further completed both her Masters in Nursing and her Family Nurse Practitioner certification in 2015, also from Wilmington University. Joining Beebe Medical Group in 2016, Jessica Hammond, FNP-BC works at the Beebe Family Practice- Millville location.
