"Love Is In the Air" Art Show

CAMP Rehoboth will present an exhibition of paintings by members of the Delaware Shore Artists Group (DSAG). The exhibition will include painting in oils, watercolors and acrylics depicting the theme of “love.” The exhibition will open on February 1 and continue through March 17, 2012. A wine and cheese reception will be held at CAMP Rehoboth on Saturday, February 4 from 5-7 pm. CAMP Rehoboth is located at 37 Baltimore Ave. in Rehoboth Beach.

What is now known as the Delaware Shore Artists Group began in 2004, when a small group of artists began studies at Wilmington University in Rehoboth. The students learned philosophy of art, techniques, and elements of design. Additionally, students explored the challenges of critique and meaningful engagement with their art. They were encouraged to expand their artistic expression, exploring various mediums and developing individual styles. The group became an official organization in 2010 and continues to meet in studios and participates in a number of art shows each year.

The artists, whose passions for families, business, law, architecture, education, writing, and many other professional pursuits have given way to the desire to create a visual expression of experiences, emotions, and observation, are pleased to share their art with you. Participating in this show are Ken Catterton, Janei Folz, Celia Ludwig, Jane Knaus, Alan Keffer, Linda Minkowski, Jane Duffy, LaVerne McIntyre, Ken Kusterer, Carol Lucia-Passo, and Judy Catterton.

Various members have exhibited in the area in such venues as the Rehoboth Art League, The St. Peter’s Annual Fourth of July Art Show, Wilmington University, Del Tech, CAMP Rehoboth, Beebe Art Auction, WSFS Bank, The Buttery, and others. Several members have been recognized for outstanding efforts at the Rehoboth Art League and elsewhere.
