Friday April 7

10 a.m.-3 p.m. Pick up your FEST Pass at the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center, 37 Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth Beach. Free Time to explore downtown Rehoboth’s quaint shops, eateries, boardwalk, and more.

9-11:30 a.m. CAMP Rehoboth Outreach Program (CROP)—Volunteers will head to Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding,which provides equine-assisted therapy for children and adults with disabilities. Help them prepare the horse farm to meet the special needs of their riders and ensure the horses have the best environment. Carpools can be arranged. Email Leslie Sinclair. Free. Everyone welcome!

10 a.m-noon. Lewes-Rehoboth Casual Bike Ride—Free. Check-in at 9:45 a.m. for a 10 a.m. prompt departure. Location: Bike To Go, 174 Rehoboth Ave., (302-227-7600). Relaxed pace and easy ride on Cape Henlopen State Park’s new trail to Herring Point and beyond. Beautiful scenic ride. Bring your own bike or rent a hybrid or mountain bike. Helmet required. No music or dog carriages allowed. Caution: street bicycles with thin tires are not allowed on local crushed stone trails. Host and Tour Guide: Rina Pelligrini.

10-11:30 a.m. Free Walking Tour of Rehoboth—starting at CAMP Rehoboth Community Center, 37 Baltimore Avenue. Join host Joan Ridolfi for a 1.5-2 mile casual stroll through downtown Rehoboth. Fascinating walk includes local history, the famous tent houses, and much more. Rain or shine—bad weather contingency plans have been made. Show up at 9:45 for a prompt 10 a.m. departure. Max participants: 30.

9 a.m.-1 p.m. Book Fair, author signings and readings at CAMP Rehoboth Community Center with prominent lesbian writers from Bold Strokes Books and the Golden Crown Literary Society. Readings by: Alison Solomon,  Barbara Valetto, D. Jackson Leigh, Fran Carroll, Catherine Maiorisi, Denise Judge, Bonnie Morris, and Jamie Maddox. Come meet the authors and hear them read excerpts from their amazing books!

Noon-4 p.m. Annual FEST Golf Outing—The Rookery South, 27052 Broadkill Road, Milton, DE 19968. Cost: $35 per player. Advance registration required. Register early, this sells out! Max players: 64. Assemble your own foursome or join a random draw. A casual 9 hole best-ball round with prizes! Check-in at 12 noon for 1 p.m. tee-off. 4-6 p.m. Book Launch Party—Come to the book launch party from Bywater Books, introducing Fay Jacobs’ latest book Fried & Convicted: Rehoboth Beach Uncorked and Stefani Deoul’s new novel On a Larp. The authors will be reading and signing books along with authors Paula Martinac and Bonnie Morris.

9-11 a.m. 7th Annual Broadwalk on the Boardwalk—A fun event for a serious cause! Broadwalk on the Boardwalk is a fundraiser for Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, hosted by CAMP Rehoboth. The Broadwalk commemorates those who lost their battle with cancer, celebrates those who are surviving cancer, and educates others. The Broadwalk originally focused only on breast cancer (pink), but now includes people with all cancers (lavender). Meet at 9 a.m. at the CAMP Rehoboth Courtyard, 37 Baltimore Ave. for complimentary coffee, music, and conviviality. The Broadwalk begins in front of CAMP Rehoboth promptly at 10 a.m. and ends on the beach with a brief but poignant ceremony. Come pretty in pink, or lovely in lavender! Have lunch after the Broadwalk on the Boardwalk, Sunday, 9 April. Then return to CAMP Rehoboth at 1 p.m. for Beth’s wellness experience in the community room. Beth harnesses the power of music to help us heal. The Broadwalk is about overcoming, living with, or dying of cancer. Beth’s healing session is about healing from physical illness of any kind, as well as loss—of civil rights, of a home, a job, an ability, of youthfulness, a relationship, a career (even if you wanted to retire!), and more, including people we love.
