This past November I had the opportunity to revisit the tragedy that
occurred in Laramie, Wyoming. This thoughtful and provocative play was
brought to the area by Rebecca Craft. Her direction was moving, and
brought tears to the eyes of many in the audience.
This play touched not only my life, but many of the other attendees
present. May I once again say thank you to CAMP Rehoboth for supporting
and providing an outlet for work such as this.

I finally picked up the last issue of Letters a couple of days ago and
didn’t begin reading it until last night. I want to thank you for the
positive comments about the Film Festival in the article CAMP Matters by
Murray Archibald.
When I was a business owner, I use to marvel at the camaraderie that
evolved during this event when complete strangers would begin discussing
films while waiting in line or while eating their breakfast. As a
volunteer I was engulfed in the enthusiasm shared by all the volunteers,
both rookies and veterans. As a staff member, I am amazed each year at the
amount of support the community gives to make this event happen. The
production of this event is comprised of many layers all linked by the
common denominators of enthusiasm and generosity. Participating in this
event makes me very happy to be a part of the Rehoboth community.
Thanks again for all of CAMP’s support, from the organization and
each of the employees.

I live in Lewes and am currently the President-Elect for the State of
Delaware American Association of University Women.
I am looking to form the state offices and would like some lesbian
representation on my board. The only requirement in our organization is a
four year degree in a college or university. This organization came out in
support of HB #99 last year. Annual membership in the Georgetown chapter
of AAUW is $41.
I don’t believe there are any open lesbians within the whole Delaware
organization. Our national magazine has had articles written by lesbian
members and one of the books promoted on the national level is Heather Has
Two Mommies. Also at the AAUW National Convention last June in Providence,
Rhode Island there was a lesbian caucus. Gloria Steinem was our main
speaker.
Could you pass the word on to anyone who may be interested? I may be
contacted by e-mail at bmullin@nac.net.

On behalf of Rehoboth Beach Main Street, I would like to thank CAMP
Rehoboth for all of your help getting the desserts for the annual
Community Unity Dinner. Your team of elves serving the dessert made the
whole event more festive!
In addition, we would like to thank Murray Archibald for his assistance
with the entertainment! His balloon animals were wonderful. Since there
was a lack of children due to the rescheduling of the Lewes parade, we did
see a number of adults wearing animal hats.
Thank you for all of your help and your continued support of the Main
Street program. Many exciting things are happening with the program and
downtown Rehoboth Beach. It is the continued support of local homeowners
and businesses which make it possible.
Again, thank you for your dessert donations and all you do to support
us.

The enclosed check represents the third quarter Royalty Disbursement
from the Rehoboth Beach Credit Card program. To date, the card programs
have raised almost $11,000 benefiting the Rehoboth Beach community through
CAMP Rehoboth, the Delaware Center for Inland Bays, and Rehoboth Beach
Main Street.
Atlantic Horizons has made a total of 9 royalty disbursements for the
Rehoboth Card program and we are excited about the future. Encourage those
who care about CAMP Rehoboth, and Rehoboth Beach in general, to apply for
the card. Make sure all CAMP supporters are aware that each time they use
the card, donations are made that directly benefit CAMP!
We have enjoyed creating this program for Rehoboth Beach and we are
happy to have CAMP Rehoboth as a beneficiary. Have a great holiday and we
look forward to continuing our support for your wonderful organization.
