We Remember

Tom Greeley

Thomas F. Greeley, Jr., age 64, of Lewes, Delaware, and formerly of Baltimore, Maryland, died Friday, January 25, 2008.

Born in Baltimore, he was a son of the late Thomas F. Greeley, Sr. and Amelia A. Hoffman Greeley. Tom spent 35 dedicated years in the home furnishing world, working 18 years with Waterford Wedgwood USA and 17 years as a buyer for Hutzlers and Stewarts department stores in Baltimore. He traveled around the world several times on buying trips visiting Alaska, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, India, Israel, Italy, France, England, Germany and Ireland. He loved his work as the owner and operator of The Wooden Indian in Rehoboth Beach, and plans are to build on the existing excellent reputation of the store.

He is survived by his devoted partner of 47 years, Louis G. Dousa, Jr.; loving cousins, Nancy Spirko and her husband, Ed, Kristina and Benjamin, and his beloved godchild, Alexandra. He is also survived by 6 aunts, cousins and many wonderful friends.

Services will be private at the request of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to your favorite charity.
