Bareback Mounting
Have you seen it? Is that a dumb question or what? I went to see
Brokeback Mountain just the other day with a friend. I, like everybody
else, enjoyed it! There are pieces of it that remind each of us of
ourselves and things that we have each experienced, and it beautifully
exposes feelings and issues that each of us has to deal with at one time
or another. The movie is wonderful. I read the short story before I went
to see it and I knew the movie would be exceptional because the story was!
Times have changed. One thing that I am sad to say is that HIV is an
issue now. It wasn’t then. If that story was being written about two
modern cowboys, Jack and Ennis wouldn’t have been able to just slam it
like they did. That scene would have been about five seconds longer if it
were written about today. Modern cowboys need to be prepared with lots of
condoms. With a little practice, however, that scene could have been just
as passionate, and safe too! Let’s face it, one of those pack mules
would have needed to be loaded with my cute little condom and lube packs!
Forget the baked beans!
You see, it always pays to be safe! Both Jack and Ennis had partners
outside their relationship. Jack knew about the one that Ennis had but
Ennis didn’t find out about all of Jack’s until very late in their
romance. In fact, he didn’t find out about some until Jack died! They
both had others they needed to be careful for, too. You never know! But
you can always be safe! Bareback mounting just isn’t a good idea!
If a cowboy in your past wasn’t safe, I can help you with a quick
confidential test. Come see me! I have tests. I have tips. I have condoms.
I have lube!
