"Wherever groups of women make connections with other groups of
women…we are affirming a network of change." —Blanche Weisen
Cook, writer
One of the most spectacular networks of change this year will be the
fourth annual CAMP Rehoboth Women’s Conference Weekend from April 16-17.
We’ve tried to cover all of the bases from laughter, to living life, to
learning, to music of the heart. There is nothing more powerful than women
coming together in a spirit of harmony and support. Women from as far away
as Massachusetts, Ohio and Texas will join women from the Mid-Atlantic
Region in a weekend of old and new friendships and fun times. The weekend
will owe its success not only to the planners, but to the diverse group of
women and male fans who attend the events; the workshop presenters who
donate their time and energy; the many vendors whose programs and services
may improve our lives; our fantastic volunteers who generously give their
time and expertise; and our generous sponsors who support us and give back
many times over. Throughout the weekend we will be selling raffle tickets
for wonderful prizes provided by members of our business community.
Remember, you have to play to win! We anticipate sellout crowds so reserve
your place and come together with all of us for the best Women’s Weekend
ever! If you need accommodations, contact AmericInn (one of our conference
sponsors) or the Seawitch Manor Inn & Spa (10% off to any of you who
will be attending weekend events.)
Women’s Conference Weekend will kick off Friday, April 16 with a tea
dance from 5-7 pm with DJ Sharon Messina at Cloud 9. Appetizers will be
provided along with a cash bar and no cover charge. Comedy Central and HBO
veteran, Suzanne Westenhoefer, will perform at 8 p.m. at the Rehoboth
Beach Convention Center (site for the major events). Doors open at 7 p.m.
(general seating and cash bar). Oh, almost forgot…there will be a
surprise that evening so, don’t sell yourself short…attend this event.
From 10 p.m. to 1 p.m., there will be a post-event party (cash bar and no
cover charge) at Cloud 9. For those of you who want to spend some quiet
time with friends before or after the main evening event, visit our other
sponsors, Blue Moon and Dos Locos or our newest sponsor, Jammin Joe’s
(mention the conference and receive a 10% discount on food and beverage.)
You won’t be disappointed wherever you go!
On Saturday, April 17, from 8 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Convention
Center is our fourth annual Women’s Conference on Financial, Health and
Legal Issues. Pick up your attendee conference packets and then relax over
continental breakfast provided by Pasqualini’s Bakery, Starbucks Coffee
Company and Wawa. Special treats also have been provided by Ibach’s. You’ll
want to walk around and peruse the vendor tables for amazing products and
services. Our keynote speaker, Melanie Mills, will energize us with her
powerful message on the caring and feeding of your life with awareness,
gratitude and grace. There will be two sessions (five workshops in each
session) in the morning and one in the afternoon. A fabulous lunch will be
provided by Queenz Quizine. During this time, we will have a surprise
guest and announce door prize winners. Throughout the day, you’ll have
an opportunity to use your creativity by participating in an open heart
process painting with Karen Barwick, a Creative Coach. You don’t have to
be a budding artist, just put yourself out there and try something new. At
3 p.m., we will announce more door prize winners and then Karen Barwick
will take us through a closing group exercise focused on the group
painting produced throughout the day.
We hope that you’ll leave the conference energized and peaceful. If
you’re energized, attend the tea dance at Cloud 9. If it is peace you
want, round up some friends and visit one of our other sponsor locations.
What better way to spend an evening after the Conference than listening to
the music of Cris Williamson, appearing at 8 p.m. at the Convention
Center. A living legend, Cris bridges the musical generation gap and
delivers a wide range of styles—country, rock, revivalist and simple
ballads. As Bonnie Raitt puts it, "Cris’s voice is like honey
dripped on a cello." There is still one more surprise! Get ready to
get up off your seats and raise your hands! After all that excitement,
make your way to Blue Moon, Cloud 9, Jammin Joe’s or Dos Locos (or all
four) for a fun end to the weekend.
We wish to thank our generous sponsors: AmericInn; Blue Moon; Bud
Light; Cloud 9; Dos Locos; Dune Tunes; Jackie Goff; Jammin Joe’s; Olivia
Tours; Starbucks Coffee Company; Teresa "TC" Cason, Realtor,
MBA, RE/MAX Realty Group-DRT; and Wawa.
