Connections
The month of May, with its profusion of blooms, is perhaps the
loveliest month of the year. It’s goodbye to April showers and welcome
to the month of flowers. How can our hearts not be lighter when we’re
surrounded by this abundance of color and warmth? Our community seems to
come alive during this time. Stores, restaurants, and beach houses
reopen. Old and new friends from distant places begin to arrive.
Everything takes on a fresh look. There is an air of anticipation and
excitement as we all look forward to connecting once again. None of us
are designed to celebrate alone so we urge you to visit us at the CAMP
Rehoboth Community Center. Many people from all walks of life pass
through our doors to access services, ask for information, help us
organize, or to socialize. Connect with us to create community and
strength!
Founders’ Circle
For a good dose of color and warmth, don’t miss the HeArt of the
Community Preview from May 24-June 4, and the artists’ reception on
Saturday, May 29, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at CAMP Rehoboth. This is an
exciting exhibit of works donated by 17 artists who support our dream to
build a full-service community center. This gives you an opportunity to
meet the artists and pick out that unique work of art that will add
something extraordinary to your home plus it will be an investment in
your community. When these 17 works of art are auctioned off at the
annual Founders’ Circle Black & White Beach Ball in June, you’ll
know at least your first and second choices and will be able to bid
against the best of those in the audience. The artists’ reception is
colorful and fun so mark your calendars!
Whether or not you are part of a CAMP Rehoboth event, access our
programs or services, or are a volunteer, your financial donation to the
Founders’ Circle Capital Campaign enables you and others to connect
with community. We need your help to keep our campaign energized and
alive for the next two years as we enter our fourth year of the Capital
Campaign. We are very excited about our progress thus far.

On Saturday, June 5, we come together at the Atlantic Sands Hotel to
celebrate our community’s success and honor our Founders’ Circle
members for their superb community spirit and generosity. One of the
finest events of the year, the Founders’ Circle Black & White
Beach Ball is not to be missed. The mood will be upbeat and the air will
be full of energy and expectations. Meet up with old friends, make new
friends and meet special guests while enjoying your favorite cocktail
and delicious hors d’oeuvres. You’ll listen to the cool sounds of
Peggy Raley who is back this year by popular demand. The evening would
not be complete without the HeART of the Community Art Auction, an
exciting and fast-moving event with Chris Riss as auctioneer
extraordinaire. Chris and his assistants will have you engaged in fun
bidding wars that will draw thunderous applause from the crowd as you
set your sights on awe-inspiring works of art.
Think about attending this wonderful event as a member of the
Founders’ Circle, or if you are a member, think about asking family
