Speak Out

Fight Prejudice on May 23!

Two years ago Republican Senator John Still of Dover was instrumental in blocking a vote on HB99. Now, John Still has introduced a proposal to amend the State Constitution to ban gay marriages and civil unions.

His proposal has been called misguided, mean-spirited, and bigoted by politicians, civic leaders, and the media. It’s a slap in the face to law-abiding, tax-paying gay men and lesbians. And, it’s an affront to all fair-minded Delawareans.

Is John Still the sort of elected official that Delaware deserves? If you don’t think so and you want to do something about it, then come meet Brian Bushweller, who is challenging John Still in the 17th District.

Join Brian for brunch from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. on Sunday May, 23 at 426 King’s Highway in Lewes. Tickets are $30 per person, and both checks and cash will be accepted at the door. Please RSVP to Peter Schott at 302-226-0196 or dc2de@aol.com

Brian Bushweller is fully and firmly committed to vote yes on HB99, and to getting that bill to the floor of the Senate for a vote. As Senator Tom Carper’s state director and former Secretary of the Delaware Department of Public Safety, he is attuned to the needs and aspirations of all Delawareans.

Remember, Senator Still’s actions don’t affect just his district. They impact all of us. Your support can help make a difference in Delaware.
