Positions Available!
Toot-toot. Beep-Beep. In spite of all the wonderful things that summer
brings, I often find the traffic unbearable! The good thing about the
traffic is that it forces me to ride my bike more often. You may see me
riding around town on my bike with my purple beach bucket. It’s not full
of sand; however, it is full of condoms! I find that the best way to get
around doing my deliveries is to ride my trusty bike. It’s fun,
relaxing, and it puts one less car on the road. The other thing that it
does for me is that I get some time to enjoy the scenery around town
without having to look at someone else’s bumper!
The other day as I was pedaling along on my mission, I saw this sign in
a store window that said, "Positions available." Then within
seconds, I saw this hot man with a nice set of legs, a big moustache, a
beard, and pierced ears, and I thought, "If I could only put that
sign on him!" I would apply! Then I started thinking of all the
positions that would be fun! Imagination does come in handy!
There are two ways I could go with this today so let’s start with the
first. Keep it fresh. I am not talking about you; I am talking about your
sex life. Keep it fresh! Look for new ways to do the same old things.
There are always new positions available! Do some research and spice
things up. There are new ways to do the same old thing and there are
totally new things you can do as well. The possibilities are endless. I
always say, "There is nothing I won’t try at least twice."
Give it a try! But make sure you are always safe!
Now, back to the other way I could go with this! When summer comes,
many of us are looking to fill positions. Many times it is Mr. Right,
other times it is Mr. Right Now. The search can be lots of fun but just
like the guy at the store who posted the sign, you have to interview
prospective applicants. Don’t hire anybody based on looks or first
impressions alone. Talk to them. One thing you will have to cover in your
conversation needs to be occupational hazards! A good boss is going to
talk to you before he hires you about what it takes to be safe on the job.
He will talk to you about tools, procedures, hazards and how to be safe
and healthy. If you are not willing to take safety precautions, chances
are he is not going to give you a job. Be a good "boss" …talk
about safety before you hire anybody!
If you don’t know what I am talking to you about, come and see me. I
can talk to you about staying HIV negative if you are HIV negative, and
not infecting anybody else if you are HIV positive. If you don’t know
your status, I can help with that too. National HIV Testing Day is June
27th from 10-5 p.m. at CAMP Rehoboth. If you don’t know your HIV status,
make a date to find out!
