While most of Rehoboth was doing what they generally do in the
summer months (sun and fun, dine and dance) the president and co-founders
of the Girl Of The World CLUB [GOTW] breezed into the lazy beach town,
checked out the local talent and made plans for their surprise return
visit. GOTW, which most of you already know, was formed in 1978 and today
encircles the globe. Applications are made available to a select few and
this being our 25th anniversary, we are very excited to interview in
Rehoboth Beach in mid-August. GOTW Prod-uctions will be gearing up for
their fall reality television series Music and "THE" Mirror. A
program that showcases female impersonators to the general public with the
illusion of confusion.
The GOTW has on numerous occasions been so successful with their party
division, that the GOTW hopefuls wait for weeks for their arrival and as
the GOTW buzz gets louder the competition to belong gets fierce.
Application discussions will only be available from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on
August 14. Due to the GOTW’s high profile this location will be
disclosed to CAMP Rehoboth at a later date.
GOTW looks forward to seeing our hopefuls in August.

This is just a short note to tell your readers how delighted I am that
the Com-missioners passed an anti-discrimination measure for the City of
Rehoboth Beach. Although I have supported the efforts to pass HB99 in the
state, and worked long and hard to celebrate the diversity within Rehoboth
Beach, it was a pleasure for me to vote for an official motion mandating
non-discrimination for our City. I want to thank those who attended the
Commissioner’s meeting in support of the measure, and the people who
called me or e-mailed me about the resolution.
I was delighted with the unanimous support the measure received, and
the teamwork shown by the Commissioners in getting the job done!

I admit it—I made a huge mistake last year in voting for Gary
Simpson.
I recently had the opportunity to discuss HB 99 with both Delaware Rep.
Joe Booth and Delaware Senator Gary Simpson. While neither politician
supports the bill, Booth is far more willing to listen than Simpson. When
I asked Simpson why he would not even consider supporting HB 99, he stated
it was against his "moral principals."
Excuse me senator, but what does morals have to do with discrimination?
Elected officials are supposed to represent their entire district,
however, Simpson prefers to base legislative decisions on his own personal
beliefs. I don’t believe we ever intended to elect a preacher.
Simpson will never change his view, as he hides behind the Bible, so
let’s make sure that in 2004 we send Simpson a clear message that his
backwards thinking has no place in the legislature.
For a man who works for the Univer-sity of Delaware, it’s a shame he
prefers to remain uneducated. Booth is genuinely interested in doing what
is fair. At the current time, he believes HB 99 would cause undo hardship
on small business owners. He did say he is always open to learn and there
lies the difference between the two legislators. Simpson prefers to play
God while Booth prefers to listen and perhaps learn what is best for the
people who elected him.

International Mr. Deaf Leather 2003. The contest was fun and a rewarding
experience for me. I will compete again for that title next year in

Christmas Fund. Yours, along with other generous contributions, was used
to provide 73 children (22 families) with a Christmas they would have
never imagined possible. Items purchased included bikes, skateboards,
games, personal CD players and CDs, Barbie dolls, educational toys,
clothing, toiletries, and much more. This project would not have been the

Enclosed is the first quarter Royalty Disbursement from the Rehoboth
Beach Credit Card program. To date, the card programs have raised more
than $7,800 benefiting the Rehoboth Beach community through CAMP Rehoboth,
the Delaware Center for Inland Bays, and Rehoboth Beach Main Street.
Atlantic Horizons has made a total of 7 royalty disbursements for the
Rehoboth Card program and we are excited about the future. We encourage
those who care about CAMP Rehoboth, and Rehoboth Beach in general, to
apply for the card. Each time the card is used, donations are made that
directly benefit CAMP!
If you have any suggestions on how we can make more people aware of the
Rehoboth Beach card program, please let us know! Your active involvement
will ensure that the dollar amount donated each quarter will continue to
increase. This could mean thousands of dollars each year for CAMP
Rehoboth, so please encourage friends of CAMP to use their cards!
