CAMP It Up with Your Old Jewelry
As part of an ongoing project, CAMP Rehoboth collects "nice but no
longer needed" costume jewelry, purses, and scarves, and sends them to
Camp To Belong, a non-profit organization dedicated to reuniting biological
siblings living in separate foster homes. The children spend a week together
at camp, with all costs covered by the sale of the donated accessories.
CAMP Rehoboth recently received a carefully hand-printed note that reads:
I had fun at camp. Thank you for leting (sic) me come. Joshua.
It’s true, each and every thing we do makes a difference.
Be Generous. It’s for the Kids!
For over 35 years, the Rehoboth Day Care Center on Route One has been
enriching the lives of low-income parents and children by providing a safe,
nurturing learning environment. The center serves between 35-45 low-income
children daily, and provides breakfast, hot lunch and a healthy afternoon
snack.
Rehoboth Day Care Center is the only day care in the area to accept an
unlimited number of low-income families on state support. The center applies
for grants, but also depends on donations. The staff is asking for help so
they can continue to meet the needs of the children.
For more information, or to send a tax-deductible donation, contact

Community Organizations Come Together to Help Preserve Our Greatest
Resources
Representatives from a variety of Rehoboth Beach community organizations
gathered for the kick-off of an environmental campaign to alert the public
that the local storm sewer system drains directly into the ocean, lakes, and
canal. Medallions reiterating that fact will be attached to the more than
600 drains in the city. If you would like to volunteer to help attach the
medallions, please call Kathy Weir at CAMP Rehoboth, 302-227-5620.
