Winner of the 2001 Governor’s Tourism
Award for Best Partnership, the Lewes Art Loop has exciting events
planned for this fall. Save Saturday, September 14, to celebrate art at
seven unique Lewes Galleries. The galleries will be open from 3-6 p.m.,
and will host open houses, special events, visiting artists,
demonstrations, door prizes, and refreshments. This bi-annual event
celebrates the diverse collection of galleries that makes Lewes truly
the “art capital of Delaware.”
Participating in the event are: The Cape
Artists, 110 W. Third St.; The Edward Carter Gallery, Front and Market
Streets in the Inn at Canal Square; Josephine Keir, Ltd, 998 King’s
Hwy; The Nichol Gonzon Gallery, 142 Second St.; The Peninsula Gallery,
520 E. Savannah Rd.; The Saxon Swan, Second St. and Savannah Rd.; and
Thistles Fine Art, 203 Second St.
The Art Loop is a collaboration between
the Lewes Chamber of Commerce and seven Lewes galleries. For
