We, at the Back Porch Café, are planning a
fundraising night to benefit the Youth Program at the New Beginnings
Community Center in West Rehoboth.
This community has been squeezed by development and has problems that
poverty exacerbates.
The Youth Program, West Side New Beginnings, Inc. provides a safe
environment for children age 5 to 15. It includes after-school mentoring
that stresses reading and writing skills. In addition, there are summer
educational and recreational sessions, field trips and community clean-up
drives. Children receive warm meals at the after-school sessions. Lunches
are served in the summertime.
The Lewes-Rehoboth Association of Churches is the primary funding
source for the Youth program.
Please help us support the future of Our Children in West Rehoboth.
On Thursday, September 15, we will donate 30% of our dinner sales to
West Side New Beginnings.
