Edward
Walter Majewski (Ed Mason) died of a heart attack at his home in Rehoboth
Beach, Delaware on May 30, 2005. He died after a lengthy battle with
diabetes and heart problems.
Ed’s ashes were scattered by his partner, John Padden, into the
waters of the Delaware Bay on October 1, 2005.
Ed was born in Woonsocket, RI. He attended the School of Design and Art
in Providence, RI. He moved to Washington, DC in the early 1960s to be
with his first partner, Albert Elkes. After many years as a manager, Ed
retired from Lone Star Industries located in Silver Spring, MD. His first
partner Albert died of a heart attack just one week before Ed retired.
Ed met John Padden on May 14, 1988. They were together for 17 beautiful
years (every 14th day of the month they celebrated their anniversary).
Edward is survived by his partner, John, sister Adele Majewski of
Woonsocket, sister Frances and her husband, Maurice Desrosiers of
Manville, RI, nieces, grand-nieces, cousins, John’s family and many
friends in both Washington, DC, and Rehoboth Beach, DE.
