All Over Town...Love Is In The Air

Ah yes, its the magical time of year when love is in the air, which means it must be Valentines Day! What better way to celebrate than to head to the shore with your honey for a passion-filled weekend of romance. Naturally, I have a few helpful hints on how to make your weekend extra special!

  • Rise and shine! Bundle up and take a long romantic walk on whats left of the beach after our two recent big Noreasters. Then head to DREAM CAFE [26 Baltimore Avenue], just re-opened from their little winter siesta, and warm up with some great coffee or tea, and enjoy waffles, fresh sinfully dreamy muffins, or a number of other great treats. Or relax at the COFFEE MILL [Rehoboth Mews] with a great cinnamon roll or bagel and one of their specialty coffees that will keep you zipping through the rest of the day.
  • Dont forget the flowers! If its Valentines Day, it must be roses. GABBYS SOUTH PACIFIC [39 Baltimore Avenue] has long stem red roses for just $45 a dozen boxed, or $50 arranged. Or call Jim Beauter at BAYBERRY FLOWERS [#1 Henlopen Junction] and ask about his wonderful in-house Valentines specials.
  • Chocolates and much, much more. Of course, there are also the chocolate treats to remember! The WOODEN INDIAN [25 Baltimore Avenue] is the only place in town to find those scrumptious Godivas in many tempting arrangements. At EARTHLY WONDERS [Mariners Square] youll find luxurious soaps to pamper yourself with, as well as clear glycerine bar soaps with real little statues of debutantes inside that are just precious (it gives new meaning to Little Debbies, thats for sure.) At ABIZAKs [208 Rehoboth Avenue] youll find a great selection of sensuous aromatherapy bath products. If its jewels youre after, check out ELEGANT SLUMMING [Baltimore Avenue], RIO MINING [102 2nd St., Lewes] or HOLLAND JEWELERS [146 Rehoboth Avenue].
  • Pamper yourself! Enough of shopping already, its time to treat yourself. At the REHOBOTH HOLISTIC CENTER [26 Baltimore Avenue], Kathleen Donelan has added two new massage therapists to her wonderful business, Konrad Noebel and Sandra Leigh. The Center is offering a Valentines Special of pay for one massage, get the second at half price, so you and your honey can get a massage at the same time. Or, call GREG MYERS [226.3552], another of the towns expert massage therapists who can make you a changed person in just an hour, or make an appointment at BAD HAIR DAY [45 Lake Avenue] and get a little spa treatment.
  • Time for dinner? For a really romantic setting and mouth-watering cuisine, head to Milfords BANKING HOUSE INN [112 Northwest Front Street]. In Rehoboth, a number of restaurants are creating Valentines Sweetheart Specials, such as CLOUD 9 [234 Rehoboth Avenue], DINARDOS [330 Rehoboth Avenue], and ADRIATICO [First and Baltimore]. PLUMB LOCO [10 North First Street] will feature a Valentines Day special Surf and Turf of grilled shrimp and filet mignon, followed by entertainment by Shelly Abbott from 9:00 to 1:00.
  • Im in the mood for love!!! Dinners over, youve had a fabulous day, now youre alone with your love at last! Luckily you remembered to pick up one of the Classical Erotica CDs at Lambda Rising [39 Baltimore Avenue], along with a book of erotic poetry, some Passion Fruit lubricant, flavored condoms, and all your safe sex needs. Thats Amore!
