AIDS Benefit is Labor of Love |
Since 1988, local and national artists have graced area stages in "A Labor of Love," Howard County, Maryland's unique celebration of music, theater and dance to help neighbors and friends in our community. This season, they are producing a gala performance of Follies on Wednesday, September 22, at Toby's Dinner Theater in Columbia, Maryland.
As in the previous years, the money raised by the benefit will support the emergency fund of the AIDS Alliance of Howard County, Maryland. The fund helps local folks living with AIDS meet their daily needs with money for such things as taxi rides to the doctor, shoes for kids, and other unanticipated expenses. A "must see" for anyone interested in the arts and a good time, but this one-night-only benefit show will sell out quickly. Tickets for the black tie optional event are $100 per person (tax deductible). Even if you are not able to attend the one-night-only show, your support is encouraged. Contributions may be made to the "Lighting of the Luminaries" program in memory or in honor of friends and family. For more information or to order tickets for the benefit performance of Follies, call the AIDS Alliance of Howard County at 410-730-8311. |
