Cloud 9 Restaurant Says, "Bring Your Own Food!" |
Cloud 9 Restaurant and Bar on Rehoboth Avenue has started a campaign to gather non-perishable items to be added to the Sussex County AIDS Committee's monthly food delivery. "The client base has risen dramatically," says new SCAC Executive Director Steve Twilley, "and there are many items that are not available through the statewide food bankitems that need to be donated or purchased." "Clients need more than just the basic food items," says SCAC Board Secretary Jackie Ignacio, "they have to brush their teeth, wash their hair and feed their pets." Items especially needed for SCAC clients are: canned meats; canned fruits; toilet paper; paper towels; fragrance-free toiletries, including shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, and moisturizers; beverages like coffee, tea and fruit juices; and dog and cat food. Cloud 9 is determined to get the campaign off to a good start. When you make a $10 or more value contribution of non-perishable foods or money, Cloud 9 will give you a certificate for 20% off your check the next time you have dinner with them. It's that simple. Donations can be made at Cloud 9, 234 Rehoboth Avenue, or at the SCAC office, 107-A South Street in Rehoboth. For more information, call Cloud 9 manager Randy Overbaugh at 302-226-1999. |
