Each time I renew my subscription, I always want to write and tell you (and all your staff and writers) that your work is extraordinary, and so important to all the people in this part of Delaware. I'm certain there are some readers from whom you don't hear compliments, but from me, you'll get nothing but them. Please keep up your good work and I look forward to all your issues in 2003.
Phil Fretz On behalf of the Rehoboth Beach Film Society's Board of Directors, membership and staff, I want to thank you for your sponsorship of the 5th annual Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival. This year's event was a huge success. From the more than 250 survey responses we received, the overwhelming comment was, "this was the best festival to date." We surpassed last year's records in both ticket sales and sell-outs. The tent was another great success. The space provided a great lounge creating opportunities for people to eat, drink, and socialize. This year we added late night happy hours as a new feature, and the results were packed crowds on both Friday and Saturday. Our success is attributable to the sponsor support we receive. We couldn't produce this event without the generosity of sponsors like CAMP Rehoboth. Once again, thank you for supporting our efforts to bring quality film programs to the greater Rehoboth community. Joe Bilancio, Programming Director Sue Early, Development Director Elizabeth Hochholzer, President, Board of Directors On behalf of Rehoboth Beach Main Street, I would like to thank CAMP Rehoboth for providing dessert for the annual Community Unity Dinner. Your team of elves serving the desserts made the whole event more festive! In addition, we would like to thank Murray for his assistance with the entertainment. His balloon animals were wonderful. There were lots of kids exiting the building wearing balloon antlers! Thank you for all your help and your continued support of the Main Street program. Many exciting things are happening with the program and downtown Rehoboth Beach. And it is the continued support of local homeowners and business which make it all possible. Again, thank you for your dessert donations and all you do to support us. Kathy Townsend Rehoboth Beach Main Street To date, the Rehoboth Beach Credit Card program has raised nearly $5000 benefitting the Rehoboth Beach community through CAMP Rehoboth, Rehoboth Beach Main Street and the Delaware Center for Inland Bays. Atlantic Horizons has made a total of 5 royalty disbursements for the Rehoboth Card program so far, and the dollar amount donated has increased with every one. In order for this positive trend to continue, we need your help! Encourage those who care about CAMP Rehoboth, and Rehoboth Beach in general, to apply for the card. Make sure all CAMP supporters have the card and are aware that each time they use it, donations are made that directly benefit CAMP Rehoboth! Your active involvement will ensure that the dollar amount donated each quarter will continue to increase. We have enjoyed creating this program for Rehoboth Beach and we are happy to have CAMP Rehoboth as a beneficiary. We hope you had a great 2002, and we wish you the best in 2003! Applications for the Rehoboth Beach Credit Card are available at CAMP Rehoboth, 39 Baltimore Ave. 302-227-5620 or at www.camprehoboth.com. Chip Thompson, PresidentTim Green, CEO, Atlantic Horizons |
