Gary Fisher Paintings at Blue Moon

A collection of recent works by Rehoboth Beach and Washington, DC artist Gary Fisher will help usher in the spring season at the Blue Moon in March 2004. The bright colorful collection of paintings features 30 still lifes, landscapes and abstracts in oil and acrylics on both canvas and paper. An opening reception with the artist will be held at the Blue Moon restaurant, 35 Baltimore Avenue, on Saturday, March 6 from 2-4 p.m.

Among the works to be displayed are paintings of sunflowers inspired by Fisher's Rehoboth Beach flower garden, a series whimsical landscapes which include Rehoboth's colorful beach umbrella shacks, and a series of smaller abstracts displayed in pinks, yellows and purples, described by Fisher as his "beach tones." Fisher decorated one of the dolphin sculptures "Miss Libber D'Olphin" as part of last seasons popular "Dolphins Around Town" project, his paintings are regularly exhibited at various galleries and alternative spaces in Washington, D.C., and he is the Art Director at the Results Gallery at Results the Gym in Washington.
