Epworth Celebrates Open Doors
Epworth UMC will host author and former United Methodist Pastor Jimmy Creech on November 17 and 18. He is the author of Adam’s Gift—A Memoir of a Pastor’s Calling to Defy the Church’s Persecution of Lesbians and Gays. Mr. Creech will present his views of the injustice against LGBT people on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. and at all three services on Sunday, Nov. 18.
Rehoboth World AIDS Day Observed on December 1
Every year since 1993, Rehoboth Beach has observed World AIDS Day on December 1 with a Candlelight Walk followed by a Service of Remembrance and Hope. This year’s Rehoboth walk will begin at 6:15 at the Bandstand and end at All Saints’ Church on Olive Avenue. More on World AIDS Day
Viki Dee Headlines at Starburst Gayla
Starburst Gayla, CAMP Rehoboth’s New Year’s Eve Dinner and Dance at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, will feature the music of Viki Dee during dinner and in a special performance to sing in the New Year. CAMP Rehoboth and Mautner Join Forces
CAMP-Mautner Cares, a program that celebrates community taking care of community, was launched on October 20 at the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center. RAMS Group Holiday Events
The Rehoboth Area Men’s Social (RAMS) Group will sponsor three holiday events.
A Thanksgiving potluck dinner, with a deep fried turkey, is planned for Saturday, November 17 from 7-10 PM, at the home of Ed Kaminsky, RAMS Group Chair, and Jorge Castanon. There is no cost, but each man is asked to bring a covered dish to complete a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Sodas and beer provided, BYOB.
On Saturday, December 15, Ed Kaminsky will lead a day trip carpool to see the holiday decorations at the famous Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, PA.
A New Year’s Eve dinner and movie party will be hosted by Larry Klute and Eric Peterson on December 31 beginning at 8 p.m. Cost is $20 per person, which includes appetizers, a tenderloin dinner with all the trimmings, homemade desserts, sodas, punch, beer, and champagne. BYOB.
Space is limited for all three events, so make your reservations early.

Get Your Holiday Shopping Done and Support Local Artists and Authors
On December 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center, there will be a holiday market featuring over a dozen artists and authors with artwork, jewelry, pottery, books, ornaments and more for your holiday season gift-giving.
Come for the shopping and stay for a laugh with hourly readings by award-winning author Fay Jacobs, with local authors J. Lee Watton and Stefani Deoul. Plus you’ll enjoy great acoustic music and refreshments.
Christmas and Hanukkah are just around the corner, so this is the perfect time to pick up something very special for your family and friends.
Art and artisans include pottery by Brenda Butterfield, fine woodworking by Mary Costa, photography, ornaments and notecards by Geri Dibiase, sea glass art by Laura Jednorski, paintings by Renata Price, Jewelry by Donna Whiteside of Barking Dog Gallery, and stained glass by Yona Zuker.
