Sundance Raises More The $145,000
Sundance week in Rehoboth, which started with the Sundance Land and Sea— Run, Walk, and Swim on August 25 and ended with the dance on September 1, was the most successful in years. More than $145,000 was raised to support the work of the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center. Well-Strung Show Added By Demand
Two shows weren’t enough for Well-Strung—the singing string quartet—on their first visit to the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center. Those shows sold out quickly. As a result, a third show has been added for Sunday, September 29 at 3 p.m. Limited seating general admission tickets ($30) are available at camprehoboth.com or by calling 302-227-5620. Delaware AIDS Walk September 28
Just as we start seeing progress in the fight against HIV and AIDS, the number of new infections is increasing. It’s crucial that we continue raising funds to support the local organizations providing education for prevention and support to persons with the disease. Walk with a team, or walk by yourself, but walk on Saturday, September 28. Registration, for the 10 a.m. walk starts at 9 a.m. at Grove Park in Rehoboth.
Free Flu Shots At CAMP Rehoboth
Your health is important to us. The CAMP Rehoboth Community Center, 37 Baltimore Avenue in Rehoboth Beach, is offering a free flu clinic on Tuesday, October 1 from 1-6 p.m. The clinic, in partnership with Beebe Medical Center, is open to adults. You do not need an appointment; however, reservations are requested so that we have an adequate supply of the vaccine. Call 302-227-5620 to reserve your spot.
Come Rain or Come Shine Demons and Angels on PB
The torrential rainstorm may have dampened a wig or two, but it didn’t dampen the competitive spirits of the Demons and Angels as they battled for bragging rights at the annual Poodle Beach Drag Volleyball tournament on Labor Day weekend.
Aqua Fundraiser for RB Fire Dept
The Boys of Aqua looked “hot” in their fireman’s attire at the annual Aqua Grill fundraiser for the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Department.
High Heel Happy Hour Fundraiser
Barb Ralph accepts a donation of $1,400 from David Heulitt, Pete Grover, and Phil Martucci. The money was raised at their “High Heel Relay” on September. 5.
CAMP Artist Group Show
CAMP Rehoboth’s new art show features works by area LGBT artists. The show runs from September 16 through October 20.
