Let’s Do It! The Music of Cole Porter
PGMC celebrates the best-loved works of this 20th Century showbiz icon!
The members of both PGMC’s (Philadelphia and Portland Gay Men’s Choruses) regret they’re unable to lunch today! They’re hard at work getting ready for this June’s concert—a nostalgic and fun-filled event showcasing the genre-defining hits of none other than Mr. Cole Porter.
The Philly group is excited to be joined, for this concert only, by their brother group—the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus. If you liked their sound before, just wait ‘til you hear them in concert with their friends from the West Coast!
Come join them at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center as they share an evening of fun and nostalgia, singing (and dancing!) some of Porter’s best loved creations for stage and screen. Regularly performed by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Old Blue Eyes, these musical gems have become an integral part of worldwide jazz culture. Whether you know all these classics by heart or are just stepping onto the scene, you’re sure to love this performance!
Music brings people together and, when it’s been loved as long as Cole Porter’s has, can unite generations. The men of both PGMC’s can’t wait to make this happen for you, your friends, and family.
The performance will be Saturday, June 21 at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m. Tickets are now available online with prices ranging from $25 to $50 each. Group discount rates are also available for parties of ten or more. A portion of the door will benefit the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center.
The Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus entertains audiences, supports communities, and fosters acceptance through exceptional musical performance.
