Estate Auction To Benefit CAMP Rehoboth
On Saturday, May 20, at 3 p.m., CAMP Rehoboth Auctioneer Lorne Crawford of Crawford Auction House in Muncy, PA, returns to Rehoboth for an estate auction at the home of Al Goldfarb (134 Kingsbridge Road, RBYCC). Mr. Goldfarb has generously offered to give CAMP Rehoboth 25% of everything sold at the auction—and his home is filled with beautiful art, glassware, fine china, furnishings, and more.
12x12xHeART—ArtExhibit and Auction
The CAMP Rehoboth Art Team recently announced the development of a new art exhibition and fundraising event. 12x12xHeART will feature 12”x12” pieces of art by approximately 20 artists. New, online bidding beginning in early May will keep the excitement building through May 27 when the event culminates at the closing bid reception from 4-6 p.m. Watch for bidding information on the CAMP Rehoboth website.

RB Police Diversity Training 2017
On April 22, CAMP Rehoboth’s Executive Director Steve Elkins (center) conducted the 2017 Rehoboth Beach Summer Police Diversity Training session, as he has done since 1992. He is joined here by Lt. Will Sullivan and Rehoboth Beach Police Chief Keith Banks. On Friday, June 2, he will work with park rangers from around the state on a similar program— and one that has been expanded in size from last year’s training session.
Conversion Therapy Ban Introduced in DE Senate
On April 26, Delaware State Senator Harris McDowell introduced Senate Bill 65 at a press conference on the steps of Legislative Hall in Dover. SB65 is an act to amend titles 24 and 29 of the Delaware code, and would ban the use of conversion therapy—a practice rejected by all mainstream medical and mental health organizations. Unfinished Business Opens Its Doors for TRANSmission
In April, members and friends of our local transgender family gathered at Unfinished Business Thrift Shop for their first TRANSmission Salon. The Salon was conceived by Kathy Wiz and Lynne Maloy as a way to ease the stressful nature of creating an all new wardrobe during transition. The next TRANSmission Salon is May 22 at 5:30 p.m.
CAMP Rehoboth Visits Goldey-Beacom GSA
Students from Goldey-Beacom College in Newark Delaware welcomed CAMP Rehoboth for their Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) Day on April 12. To get lunch at the event, participants signed a board pledging to be inclusive of all sexual orientation and identities.
CAMP Letters Takes a Trip to Cuba
Bob Harrison, Neil Frock, Matt Turlinski and Jerry Sipes took their Letters from CAMP Rehoboth with them on a trip to Cuba, where they explored Havana, Cienfuegos, and Santiago de Cuba.
