Michael Gonzalez

Michael L. Gonzalez, age 56, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 08, 2012 after a long battle with lung cancer.
Michael was born in Washington, DC son of the late Bonifacio and Ethel L. (Concovia) Gonzalez.

Michael worked in High Tech Support as a Software Support Engineer with Wang Laboratories for over 20 years. He lived most of his life in Washington, DC and moved to the Rehoboth Beach area 10 years ago. After moving to Rehoboth with his partner, Mitch, they owned and operated the Rainbow Earth Foods market on Rehoboth Avenue.

Michael enjoyed high tech toys and loved music. He and Mitch also loved to travel and enjoyed many destinations around the world, most recently, Mexico, Alaska, and Rome. They especially loved their time spent in Aruba.

Michael is survived by his partner of 19 years: Mitch I. Selbiger; a son: Eric Michael Gonzalez, of Bowie, MD; a daughter: Kristen Marie Gonzalez, of Glen Burnie, MD; a brother: Bob Gonzalez, and sister: Alexandra Callaghan, both also of the Silver Spring, MD area.

A Celebration of Life for Michael will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or Tunnell Cancer Center, 18947 John J. Williams Hwy #101 Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
 

William “Bill” Goldstein

William Goldstein of Ashton, Maryland died Saturday, May 12, 2012.

He was the beloved father of Sergei and Ziggy Goldstein; and dear brother of Claire (Luiz) Simmons. He was also survived by nieces and nephews, Tony, Josh, Rachel and Estee.

For many years, Bill owned a home in Lewes, Delaware. During that time, he was a major sponsor of the Love Benefit held over the July 4th holiday. He was also a sponsor of CAMP Rehoboth’s Sundance Benefit.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, May 15, at Shaare Tefila Congregation in Olney, MD 20832. Internment at Judean Memorial Gardens, Olney, MD. Family will be observing Shiva through Friday, May 18, at his late residence with Minyan services at 7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the above named Congregation.
