Women's FEST is Coming!
Yes, Women’s FEST is coming; celebrities are on the way! Tickets are on sale now for this event-packed four-day FEST.
Be there with us April 7-10 at our two major venues, The Atlantic Sands Hotel and CAMP Rehoboth Community Center, both on Baltimore Avenue, easy to navigate all FEST long!
Just look at our musical and comedy entertainers! We’ve got Indigo Girl Emily Saliers, Comic Poppy Champlin (with an all-new show!), singers Angie Haze and Julie Felix, rockers The Girlfriends, comic Kelli Dunham, CAMP’s own storyteller Fay Jacobs, plus producer Andrea Meyerson and her amazing film Letter to Anita (Bryant).
And our very special guests! We’ll welcome feminist icon Eleanor Smeal, President of the Feminist Majority Foundation and our keynote speaker, plus Lesbian travel pioneer and co-founder of Olivia, Judy Dlugacz, in person, to receive a tribute for her awesome achievements and generosity. With an election year upon us, leadership is critical and we will also host Laura Liswood, Secretary General of the Council of Women World Leaders with a special event.
Feeling sporty? We’ve got our popular golf outing, doubles pickleball, cornhole events, a bike ride, walking tour, and more. Don’t exhaust yourselves, because you gotta be in shape for the nighttime events.
Dance your feet off! We’ve got the opening party on Thursday with Viki Dee doing music, Friday Singles event at Lula Brazil with DJ Nan, and then the famous Saturday Ladies 2000 Tea Dance, this year at the top of the Henlopen Hotel, with an amazing view!
And don’t forget creativity! Surround yourself with talent at the Women’s Photography and Art Show at CAMP and come meet award-winning lesbian authors reading from their new works at Proud Books. There will be artisans at the FEST Expo on Saturday, too.
Workshops: Less is More! We’ve only planned eight workshops this year but they are all amazing choices. We’ve got a hilarious comic/nurse to talk about health issues, another crackerjack comic to teach you to stand-up for yourself, a Genealogy workshop, a session on Fish! Philosophy, two workshops (you asked for it!) that highlight relationship topics, Motherpeace Tarot taught by the woman who created the deck, and a National LGBTQ Task Force session focusing on the Transgender Community and our collaboration. The choice will be difficult: they are all terrific!
And even more that’s more! There’s the annual Broadwalk on the Boardwalk to fight cancer, a raffle for a fabulous Tahitian Paradise Luxury cruise for two, the always-awesome FEST t-shirt by photographer/artist Geri Dibiase, the CAMP Rehoboth Outreach Program, with volunteers helping at a therapeutic riding horse farm, a Sunday brunch, and a special non-partisan Political Forum for The Year of the Woman, with the League of Women Voters. And by the time you read this, we bet there will be added goodies to the list!
How is this all possible? Well, for one (really BIG) thing, we have wonderful sponsors! They include: Presenting Sponsor: Olivia Travel; Host Hotel: The Atlantic Sands; Legacy Sponsors (“The Golden Girls”): Jenn Harpel of Morgan Stanley, Jeanine O’Donnell-State Farm, and Lana Warfield–Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices– Gallo Realty; CAMP Rehoboth Annual Premier Sponsors: Accent on Travel, Dos Locos Restaurant, and The Sea Bova Associates; CAMP Annual Sponsors: Outlet Liquors, Signarama, and Move2Rehoboth.com– Karen Gustafson, Realtor; Women’s FEST Platinum Sponsor: Barbara Hines & Nancy Froome; Diamond Sponsor: Janet Redman, Financial Advisor; Gold Sponsors: Geri Dibiase, Maplewood Dental Group, Barb Thompson; Silver Sponsors: Bywater Books, Millman’s Appliance, Law Office of Susan Pittard Weidman, P.A., Maggio Shields Real Estate, Prime Lending, Tagg Magazine, Lesbe Real Radio, Beebe Frazer, Gwen Johnson & Jane Miller, Unity of Rehoboth, Dupre Keating Group at Morgan Stanley, Gay Women of Rehoboth Meet-Up, Susan Fortier Photography, Jo Parrott, DJ Sharon.
