Following the most current guidelines from government and health officials for Social Distancing, we are expanding AIDS Walk Delaware to a Week-long Challenge. AIDS Walk Delaware is the state’s largest HIV/AIDS fundraising and awareness event. Each year the Walk provides nearly $80,000 for case management services, HIV-specific mental health counseling, free HIV testing, education/prevention programs for youth and young adults, housing services, and more.

This year’s walk is critical for the benefiting organizations as they have been financially impacted by COVID-19, having been forced to cancel other fundraising events. The services they provide to the community are essential and continuing to fulfill the needs of clients, who are most vulnerable in this pandemic, is crucial.

We want people to feel comfortable participating when they want, how they want, with whom they want. There will be no formal in person gathering.

You can follow one of the two official routes: In Wilmington along Brandywine Park or in Rehoboth Beach, from Grove Park to the ocean and back.

Or walk wherever you feel most comfortable - in another park, in your neighborhood or on your treadmill at home.

You can even join the CAMP Rehoboth team and pledge to walk 12 miles during the month of September or walk on your own.
