Description: This workshop is for parents, caregivers, and allies who are supporting LGBTQIA+ youth during their transition into the new school year.  We will cover terminology, clinical considerations, addressing microaggressions in the school setting, supporting your child's emotions as they start the school year, and how to support your child in developing self-advocacy skills.

Noah J. Duckett, LCSW (he/him/his)
Noah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Planned Parenthood of Delaware.  He earned his Master’s in Social Work at Boston University (2018) and is certified in Advanced Training in Affirmative Therapy for Transgender Communities (Widener University, 2019.)  Noah approaches therapy from a strengths-based, intersectional, and trauma-informed perspective, and is passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ individuals to navigate positive coming out experiences, as well as social, medical, legal, and emotional transitions.

Isabella Weber, MPH (she/her/hers)
Isabella is the Vice President of Education & Training at Planned Parenthood of Delaware, which provides comprehensive sex education and professional training to over 5,000 people annually in Delaware and neighboring states. She has been a sex educator since 2010 and is a certified facilitator and trainer for multiple age levels of the Our Whole Lives faith-based sex education program. She has a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Michigan.
