Dixon Osburn: Mission Possible

Join us on Tuesday October 26th at 6:30 PM as we welcome C. Dixon Osburn for a discussion of his newly released book Mission Possible: The Story of Repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.  Osburn was co-founder and executive director of Servicemembers Legal Defense Network that led the successful effort to repeal “Don’t ask, don’t tell.”

#MissionPossible is a searing, heartbreaking, and ultimately triumphant story of the power of coming out, building a movement, and political savvy. Mission Possible shows that overcoming the odds is both possible and essential.

The discussion will be facilitated by Gary Espinas.  Gary Espinas is a retired U.S. Army colonel who was investigated under Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell in 2003. He currently works in the Department of Defense and serves as an Adjunct Instructor at the United States Naval Academy and The George Washington University.

Mission Possible Host Committee: Gary Alexander and Craig Sencindiver, Jay Chalmers and John Potthast, Don Heim, Paul Hurdle & John Kircher, Bob Kabel, Mick Kaczorowski, Waneeta Mack & Beverly Vogt, Fran and David O'Brien, Marty Rendon, Brian Shook & Derek Thomas, Andy Staton & Patrick Saparito
