In honor of Foster Care Awareness month, CAMP Rehoboth will hold a discussion on supporting all youth in foster care with a focus on LGBTQ youth in foster care. LGBTQ youth are consistently over-represented in the foster care system.
There are many ways to support youth in foster care. This includes advocating for youth in the foster care system as a court appointed special advocate (CASA) or by becoming a host, foster, respite, or foster-to-adopt family.
Come learn about the Delaware child welfare system, the need for LGBT-friendly host/ foster families for older youth, and some of the many ways that you can make a difference in your community.
