Artists of color are invited to submit up to three works for consideration in "Ignite the Light", a juried group exhibition that will be on display at CAMP Rehoboth from January 18 to February 28, 2023. Entries must be submitted by December 19, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. All art forms - painting, drawing, sculpture, 3D, ceramics, photography, videography, and more will be considered.

As part of the celebration of Black History Month, CAMP Rehoboth will host “Ignite the Light”, a six-week group art show that extends from January through February 2023, with a reception on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. In this exhibition, artists of color will share how they have awakened their inner power to create art that inspires.

We are excited to announce that “Ignite the Light” will be a juried exhibition, with Lori Crawford serving as the juror. Lori is an Associate Professor of Art at Delaware State University. She was awarded a Delaware Division of the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship in 2008 and has exhibited at many museums and galleries.

Artists of color are invited to submit up to three works for consideration by December 19, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. You will be asked to provide information about yourself and upload jpegs or files of your original works. All art forms - painting, drawing, sculpture, 3D, ceramics, photography, videography, and more will be considered.

Exhibition: January 18 to February 28, 2023
Submission deadline: December 19, 2022, 11:59 p.m. 
Notification of acceptance: December 23, 2022
Drop off selected work: January 12 and 13, 2023 at one of two locations: CAMP Rehoboth, Rehoboth Beach, and Lori Crawford’s office at Delaware State University, Dover. Additional details will be provided upon notification of acceptance.
Reception: Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m.

CAMP Rehoboth will promote the exhibition and artists in a press release, on social media, and in our newsletter magazine “Letters from CAMP Rehoboth.” The 25% commission on artworks sold will be used to support CAMP Rehoboth’s programs, including health and wellness and the arts.

CAMP Rehoboth has hosted Black History Month exhibitions for the last several years, and each year they get better and better. We look forward to seeing your art in “Ignite the Light” and celebrating your talent at the January 21, 2023 reception.
