Join CAMP Rehoboth THRIVE youth for an open "Queer Like Me: An Asian American LGBTQ Story" conversation with Dear Aunaetitrakul, (she/her), on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. (5:30 p.m. CST). In this presentation, Dear will be talking about her coming out journey.  She will also share her story of resilience navigating her identity during the COVID-19 pandemic and the rise of the Anti-Asian racism rhetoric.

Dear's bio:

Dear (she/her) is an assistant director for gender & sexuality at the Angelina Pedroso Center, Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU). Dear has been working in higher education since 2014. She specializes in diversity, equity, and inclusion education. Recently, Dear has been selected as a 2021 New Leaders Council Fellow, a highly- selective leadership training for a rising generation of progressive leaders.  Dear is passionate about increasing access to higher education for students of color, LGBTQ+, and undocumented students.
