This discussion group will enable parents to network with other families that are going through similar experiences while raising a transgender or non-gender conforming child.  The goal of the group is to provide parents a safe space where they can discuss what issues are important to them. They will have the chance to raise questions, share resources, network, and listen to the experiences of other parents whose children are gender diverse. Issues explored will include school, legal matters, privacy, siblings, extended family, and medical.

Occurring at the same time, the youth group, open to ages 13 and above will be facilitated by transgender adults and mental health professionals. This group will allow youth to share their experiences with each other and talk about topics that matter most to them in their lives.

The parents group and the yound adult group (13 and above) will meet monthly, and are facilitated by parents, peer leaders, and professional counselors and therapists.

The meetings will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center, 37 Baltimore Ave. For more information, and to RSVP, please contact Salvatore Seeley, LCSW at 302-227-5620.
