Wear Orange originated on what would have been the 18th birthday of Hadiya Pendleton.  Hadiya was an innocent bystander who was shot and killed on a playground in Chicago at the age of 15.  Her friends decided to commemorate her life by wearing orange, the color hunters wear to be visible.
