Steam rising from an old paint bucket rivets my attention for a moment
In all the room nothing else moves but myself as I cross the floor quietly, and
Steam rising from an old paint bucket newly filled with hot water to receive color drenched wet brushes fuchsia, mint green brilliant yellow, orange red (crimson drops, scarlet splatters) azure, indigo, violet black and white
Slowly turning the clear hot water To a swirling muddy brown Old water, muddy water but oh from what brilliance was it made
Cooling rapidly now the living steam has all but faded
The air shimmers maybe one more time over the old paint bucket
And then lies still in the deserted morning air

Palm Trees
A good way to really get to know someone Is to ask them to explain something to you Especially something simple The way they get in or out of water is also important It says a lot about them But probably the very best way to understand Someone else Is to invite them somewhere And then listen to what they say Most will be too busy to go along Others will smile because it took you So long to ask A few The ones you should really envy Will want to think about it.
