Edward Billy of Rehoboth Beach died Sunday, October 5, 1997 at his home from an overdose of pain killers. He was 37.
Edward was the salon coordinator of Hair by Edward James in Rehoboth, and an active volunteer with the Miss Delaware Pageant. He was also a custom designer of evening wear seen on the Miss Delaware and Miss America stages.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edwardo Billy and Maria Castorano. He is survived by a companion, Leo James Chisolm of Rehoboth Beach, with whom he lived; a brother, Alphonso Billy of Nashville, Tennessee; and by his extended family at Hair by Edward James.
Funeral Services were held at St. Edmonds Catholic Church, where Edward had worshiped in Rehoboth Beach.

Jerry Eugene Nelson
Jerry Eugene Nelson of Rehoboth Beach and Washington, DC, died Saturday, October 11, 1997, at Life Care in Seaford, DE from complications associated with AIDS. He was 40.
Originally from Bradford, PA, Jerry had most recently lived in Washington, DC where he was employed in the Food and Beverage Industry. Prior to that, Jerry had made his home in Rehoboth, near the ocean and beach he loved so much. While living in Rehoboth, Jerry worked as a groundskeeper and manager assistant at Sea Gate, and at Tijuana Taxi as a cook, waiter and bartender.
Jerry is survived by his parents, Floyd and Anna Nelson of Milton, DE; two brothers, Floyd Nelson of Gifford, PA, and Melvin Nelson of Eldred, PA, and two sisters, Judy George of Lancaster, PA, and Joann Wallett of Lewes, DE.
On October 15, family and friends gathered at Epworth United Methodist Church for a service in celebration of Jerrys life.
The family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 600 Dupont Hwy., Georgetown, DE 19947.
