Russell W. "Russ" Gravenor
Russell W. "Russ" Gravenor of Rehoboth Beach died Monday, March 22, 1999 in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 38. Mr. Gravenor was born May 7, 1960 in Salisbury, MD, the son of Mary Jane Davis and Charles Gravenor. He attended Salisbury University and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1994. He was a general manager of the Wendys Restaurant in Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Salisbury for 14 years. Mr. Gravenor was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Sussex County AIDS Committee. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, several nieces and nephews, and his favorite pup, Chocolate Gravenor. A memorial service was held in Lewes on March 25, followed by a burial service in Spring Hill Memory Gardens, Salisbury, MD. The family suggests contributions be made to the J.I.M. Fund, 4274 Highway One, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971; or the Sussex County AIDS Committee, P. O. Box 712, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971. Raymond M. McInturff Raymond M. McInturff, 66, of Rehoboth Beach, died Monday, March 15, 1999, of prostrate cancer at Harrison House. Mr. McInturff was a native of Great Falls, Montana, and graduate of the University of Montana. He received masters degrees in philosophy and mathematics at UCLA and the University of Spokane. He also studied mathematics at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from the Air Force Reserve as a lieutenant colonel. He spent most of his working years in Washington, D.C., where he worked as a meteorologist for the Department of Commerce for 28 years. He wrote and published several scientific papers in his field. After retiring in 1989, he moved to Rehoboth Beach. He is survived by three sisters, Mona Z. Gilbertson of Scobey, Montana; Myrna M. Gribble and Mary F. Miller, both of Spokane; and his partner, Douglas Jones of Rehoboth Beach. Services were held at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Lewes. Contributions are suggested to Delaware Hospice, 600 N.
