SCAC Unveils New Label Design for it Fundraising Cans |
SCACs donation cans in the community are often called a "silent fundraiser" for the agency. In a quiet way, these cans collect money from generous people in the community, bringing in thousands of dollars for client service programs at SCAC. This year, the donation cans have been given a new voice...and a new look.
"For the past three years, the labels on SCACs donation cans featured the AIDS Awareness Stamp," explains Glen Pruitt, SCAC Executive Director. "We were ready to update the labels and wanted a bold new look." The new design uses bright colors of red, yellow and blue on an orange background. The focus of the design is a red ribbon that gracefully wraps itself around the can. Nick Serratore, co-owner of the Saxon Swan (101 Second Street, Lewes) created the new look. "Nick did a wonderful job! Weve gotten lots of rave reviews for the new label," Pruitt adds. The cost of replacement cans and printing the new labels was paid by Bear on the Beach (5 N. First Street in Rehoboth Beach). "Last fall, Wally Johnson and Larry Beach offered to underwrite those costs. Their generosity motivated us to go ahead with the new design." Pruitt extended his thanks to all three gentlemen for their help on this project. |
