Online Book Club for the Gay and Lesbian Community |
Quality Paperback Book Club (QPB), a division of Bookspan, launches InsightOut Booksthe first book club ever created specifically for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) readers, family and friends. InsightOut www.insightoutbooks.com will showcase the finest in GLBT literature, providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for readers to connect through books. InsightOut promises to be an innovative, in-the-know, entertaining and thought provoking online destinationa place where the diversity of voices within the GLBT community will be heard, shared, and celebrated. InsightOut will be the most expansive online provider of gay and lesbian literature with over 35 categories spanning fiction, nonfiction, biography, erotica, self-help, psychology, parenting, spirituality, travel, and more. Club members will find a wide range of their favorite authors, from such celebrated and established voices as Edmund White, Lillian Faderman, Felice Picano and Rita Mae Brown to notable new and emerging writers such as Sarah Waters and David Ebershoff. Special attention will be given to the landmarks of GLBT literature as well: InsightOut will offer a growing library of "Triangle Classics Editions," from Radclyffe Hall's The Well of Loneliness to Randy Shilts' And the Band Played On.
