Two Rehoboth Locals Win in the Gold's Gym Challenge |
Locals Becky Gaffney and Hugh Fuller are both winners in the Gold's Gym $500,000 Body Revolution National Contest.
The challenge encourages and motivates Gold's Gym. members to make the best changes possible in their bodies in a 12 week span. With the help of the Gold's Gym staff of certified fitness professionals, members are encouraged to lose body fat and gain lean muscle tissue in a safe and sensible way. The goal is to get great results, and keep them. The challenge ran from January 1 to June 30, with winners on a local and national level receiving a share of $500,000 in cash and prizes. Hugh Fuller, co-owner of the Purple Parrot restaurant in Rehoboth Beach is the local winner for Rehoboth Beach Gold's Gym. He won a free 1-year membership at the club. With the help of his trainer Dave Kergaard, and the staff at Gold's Gym in Rehoboth Beach, he had amazing results losing 11% body fat in 12 weeks. Hugh's plan consisted of a combination of healthy well balanced meals, cardio training, weight lifting and a variety of nutritional supplements. Becky Gaffney (seen in photo with Dan Gaffney) won first runner up in her age group on the National level! She won $5,000 from Gold's Gym International and a free membership at Gold's Gym Rehoboth Beach. She participated in the program along with her husband Dan Gaffney, who also had great results. Both Becky and Dan trained with a combination of weight lifting and cardio and of course, a well balanced meal plan. Gold's Gym Rehoboth Beach is located on Rt 1 and can be reached at 226-GOLD.
