Henry William Eagle, born April 20, 1965 in Pottstown, PA, died January 20, 2001, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Delaware. He was 35 years old.
A graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School, Henry was co-owner of The Tailor Shoppe in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Henry moved to Delaware in 1994 where he also operated a sewing business of the same name in Harbeson and Lewes.
According to artist Murray Archibald, "The annual Sundance Benefit in Rehoboth was a showcase for Henry's sewing talent. He was the one I called on to sew the hundreds of yards of fabric used in transforming the Rehoboth Convention Center."
Henry was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Eagle, and mother, Mabel Aston. He is survived by his life partner, Fred M. Hertrich, of Lewes, sister, Faith Hartzell, and nephew, Mike Hartzell, both of Greenlane, PA.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 3, at 1:00 p.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church, 20 Baltimore Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.
