Rehoboth Beach Main Street and The Friends of the Rehoboth Beach Public Library host the 11th annual Chocolate Festival, Saturday, March 17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rehoboth Convention Center.
With its $1 admission, the festival is an inexpensive way to indulge your passion. Entries of professional restaurant chefs and talented amateurs can be sampled for 50 cents each.
There will be vendors with unusual offerings, a raffle to win a huge chocolate bunny compliments of the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, chocolate soap for sale (no kidding!), as well as chocolate coffees and soft drinks from the Coffee Mill. For those needing a food break between chocolate fixes, Caf Sol will be on hand with wonderful selections.
The Chocolate Baking Contest at the heart of the festival is open to anyone who wants to enter! Folks with a favorite chocolate recipe and the urge to be creative are encouraged to bring your entry to the Convention Center between 7 and 9 a.m. on the morning of the festival.
The judging is done from 9 until 11 a.m. (a tough job but somebody has to do it!) and the doors open at 11 a.m.
Who will come up with the best chocolate creation this year? Come have a taste of the hundreds of chocolate goodies and judge for yourself.
And if you still want more, go across the street to Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats and try a chocolate beer.
