LETTERS From CAMP Rehoboth |
Speak Out |
What can I say? Despite the terrible events of September 11, your steadfast commitment to the Mautner Project transformed our Hearts and Hands Gala (on Sept. 15) into a night of hope and healing that we will never forget. As The Washington Blade noted in its coverage of the Gala, "Dance standards like I Will Survive and We Are Family took on a new meaning in the changed political environment." Thank you for being wonderful members of the Mautner Project family and for working so hard to ensure our survival through these challenging times. Kathleen DeBold, Executive Director Enclosed is my contribution for the next year of Letters. I just wanted to let you know that I thoroughly enjoy reading each issue. Although I am a fairly recent immigrant to Delaware (first it was just vacationing, then I bought a house in Ocean View for weekends), I hope to spend more and more time here in the years to come. Reading Letters makes me feel like I can be part of this wider community, and I do want to start getting involved in your many, many activities. Thank you for doing a superb job of communicating. Phil Fretz First, let me say what wonderful work you all do at CAMP Rehoboth and how much you are appreciated by hundreds of people in Rehoboth Beach. Secondly, thank you for including the painting by Vernon Rollins and the announcement of his opening at Cloud 9 Restaurant in the recent Letters (vol. 11, # 13). The paintings will be on display through Thanksgiving. If you haven't seen them, I hope you will stop by. Roy Perdue Just a note of thanks for the support those of you at CAMP Rehoboth have shown me in my first 6 months in the area. I wish you the best. Kim Furtado, N.D. |
