What's for Dinner?
It's time to mingle! A single women's potluck dinner will be held on Wednesday, February 23 at the Delaware Inn. Innkeeper Sharon invites single women to bring a dish and come on over to the Delaware Inn, 55 Delaware Avenue. You bring the food, Sharon will provide the drinks, and let the mingling begin! The potluck will begin at 6 p.m. For more info, call Sharon at 226-1788. Blankets Needed at Casa San Francisco Casa San Francisco is a tremendously important community resource that provides a broad range of services, just one of which is operating an emergency shelter. Besides providing shelter, Casa also distributes free blankets to needy families and individuals throughout the winter months. Casa is currently in need of blankets of all sizes. Blankets may be new or used, provided they are in good condition and have been washed. Casa San Francisco, located at 127 Broad Street in Milton, can be reached at 302-684-8694. Friends Kick Off 2005 Campaign For 34 years, the Rehoboth Day Care Center on Route 1 near the canal in Rehoboth Beach, has been enriching the lives of low income parents and their children. Between 40 and 45 children, ages one to 10 (some are latchkey children coming after school) attend the day care center. The students, mostly minority children receiving support from the state, receive breakfast, a hot lunch and nutritional stacks. Funds from this year's Friends of the Rehoboth Day Care Center campaign will help pay a new director and boost caregiver salaries, as well as improve computer access so the children will be ready for school. Tax-deductible donations can be made payable to Rehoboth Day Care Center, and mailed to Friends of Rehoboth Day Care Center, PO Box 663, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971. The day care center can be reached by calling 302-227-2651. Donate a Phone Each One Helps Donate your old wireless phoneit could save a life.
