Hollis W. Morgan, age 85 of Lewes, Delaware, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008, at his residence.
He was born April 15, 1923 in Allegan, Michigan, son of the late Thomas and Bernice Morgan.He was a 1940graduate of Allegan High School and a 1948 graduate of Western Michigan University. Mr. Morgan served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII.- During his time in Washington, DC, he worked for Congressmen Victor Knox and Edward Hutchison as an administrative assistant for more than 28 years. After retirement, he moved to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. His survivors include sisters: Marian Tansky of Logan, Ohio and Maxine Woodhams of Allegan, Michigan; a brother Bernith Morgan of Allegan, Michigan; his life companion, Thomas P. Angelo, and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life was held on Wednesday, April 23 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth. Funeral services were also held at Merson Church, South Allegan, Michigan onSaturday, April 26. Interment was at Mallory Cemetery in Allegan. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Epworth Methodist Church Building Fund, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971. |
