LETTERS From CAMP Rehoboth |
SPEAK Out |
From a demolished Buddha to the comedy of coming out with two sets of gay parents, this year's Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival has proven once again (this was it's 11th anniversary) to be one more example of not only our town's but also the First State's best cultural event.
Delawareans now have another claim to fameour Senator will be Number Two on the national scene, and our Film Festival ranks up there with the best. The weather may not have been the most hospitable, but slip inside a theater and feel the warmth of a documentary, and enjoy the escape we all need. I have been a volunteer for a number of years. It astounds me that every year Sponsors, and dedicated men and women help bring this cornucopia to our quaint sea side town. Over the years people such as Rob Rector, Sue Early, Maureen Keenan, and all the other volunteers not only keep us comfortable but do it all with panache. It never ceases to amaze me that while the weather outside may be chaotic, Wendi inside the Midway Theatres is always there to greet us with a smile. Another year has gone by, new bonds have formed, and memories and friendships send us into the season of all giving. This was our town's very own gift to us all. Happy holidays! John Sayres Thank you for your continued efforts in helping shape Rehoboth's future in positive ways. We are happy to help in any way we can.
