CAMP Chorus Makes Plans for Premier Winter Concert
The new CAMP Chorus, now rehearsing Monday evenings at the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center, is busy preparing a varied selection of music for its premier concert this coming January.
The fledgling group, 25-members strong, under the direction of Bill McManus, has been rehearsing a variety of show tunes and choral classics—which will be arranged into a concert, complete with narration and solos, to reflect the group’s passion for singing. Accompanist David Zipse, himself an accomplished solo performer, brings an amazing musical talent, and energy to the group.
Following CAMP Rehoboth’s vision of “room for all,” and its status as the heart of the community, the concert will present music celebrating diversity and community—and will also be sure to reflect the inherent campiness in CAMP Rehoboth.
The chorus is still accepting new members, seeking folks who read music and love to sing. Sopranos are especially welcome! Contact Chorus Business Manager Barb Ralph at Barbralph@verizon.net
The planned concert will take place on Sunday, Jan. 31 at the Rehoboth Beach Theatre of the Arts, 20 Baltimore Avenue. Details to follow!
