Let’s get this party started!
Cypress (in the former Shag space) is going to offer happy hour with Viki Dee every Wednesday and tea dances every Sunday with Jame Foks all summer long. Girls get your dancing shoes ready! Speaking of happy feet—look for the new Lady Love Tea Dance this July 4th as part of CAMP Rehoboth’s Love 2011 dance weekend.
Aqua is now open on weekends and will feature an Armed Forces Day T Dance on May 21. And I just heard about a brand new show coming to the Blue Moon. Stay tuned!
For your dining pleasure we are pleased to announce yet another new addition to Wilmington Avenue! Romeo’s will feature American Cuisine with Italian specialties and be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. PrimoHoagies is opening near Sign*a*rama in Henlopen Square. Hop over to Henlopen Junction, the adjacent shopping center, and you’ll find the next Krama Ethnic Market featuring Eastern European specialties.
The Rehoboth Beach Farmers’ Market located in Grove Park has reopened for the season (Tuesdays). Lewes Farmer’s Market is open Saturdays, and the Bethany Beach Farmer’s Market on Sundays. For a listing of all the area farmers’ markets, dates and times, check out RehobothFoodie.com.
I am deliriously happy to report that Hopkins Farm Creamery is now open seven days a week. If you love ice cream you must go—it’s a religious experience!! Speaking of ice cream, the Ice Cream Store on Rehoboth Avenue is featuring a new flavor this year, the Scorpion Sting which is African vanilla ice cream flavored with cayenne pepper, cinnamon, and strawberry, topped with a dried edible scorpion. Other top sellers at this adventurous creamery include Booger, Better Than Sex, and Mental Floss for Trailer Trash. I have no words.
Looking for something wild and crazy to do with that special summer guest? CVC Helicopter Service is offering Coastal Inland Bay flights starting at Dawn’s Country Market at the corner of Coastal Highway and Cave Neck Road.
Mad for movies? Movies at Midway now offers Thursday midnight showings of new Friday release movies.
May 20-22 is the Plein Air (painting outdoors) Arts Festival sponsored by The Art League and Main Street. Don’t be surprised to see more than 50 artists painting around Rehoboth. Also this weekend is the grand opening for HomeGoods, the Rehoboth Beach Spring Sidewalk Sale, and the Peace, Love and Horseshoe Crab Festival in Slaughter Beach.
Get those quarters ready! Lewes meters are now in effect and Rehoboth’s will be right behind starting Friday, May 27. After that date you must display a parking permit in non-metered areas between 10 a.m and 5 p.m.
