The CAMP Rehoboth Chorus will celebrate the season of love with its third annual winter concert, entitled Long Last Love! set for 7 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Epworth United Methodist Church. This high energy show will feature chart-topping love songs from the Beatles and the Dixie Cups, as well as Broadway hits from Rent and A Chorus Line. These songs are sure to bring back memories and stir your emotions. You will definitely want to sing along to the Chorus’s spirited rendition of the 1964 hit, “Chapel of Love,” as we celebrate Civil Unions in Delaware.
The chorus is particularly excited that a select group of singers from the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC, will join them as special guest artists at the February concert. This highly acclaimed Chorus performed on the nationally televised We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration concert at the Lincoln Memorial. In June, 2011, they made history with a first-of-its kind LGBT choral performance at the White House for President Obama’s LGBT leadership summit.
The CAMP Chorus has added many talented new members who help hit the high notes! They are also excited that they continue to be led by three experienced and gifted professionals: Artistic Director and founder, Fay Jacobs; Music Director, Bill McManus; and Accompanist, David Zipse.
Tickets are $15. Tickets can be purchased online or call CAMP Rehoboth at 302-227-5620.
