Tickets are now on sale for the Camp Rehoboth Chorus Winter Concert, All You Need is Love!, set for Saturday, February 11, 7 p.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach. This high energy show features a lively mix of hits from the pop charts and Broadway spanning the last five decades. They are sure to stir your emotions and bring back some fond memories.
In addition to the vocals of the entire CAMP Rehoboth Chorus, the concert will include solos, duets, and trios. The chorus is directed by William McManus with accompanist David Zipse. Fay Jacobs is the artistic director.
The concert will feature a special guest performance by the Rock Creek Singers, a select ensemble group from the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC. This highly acclaimed Chorus has performed at the Kennedy Center, the National Theatre, and Carnegie Hall. They performed at President Bill Clinton’s second inauguration and at President Obama’s inauguration.
CAMP Rehoboth Chorus President, Mary McElhone says the Chorus is particularly excited about this year’s concert. “We’ve added a strong soprano section and several members with solo performing experience. The music, selected by the music committee, is the most upbeat we’ve performed to date. The concert offers something for everyone and promises to be a fun evening for the Chorus and the audience.”
